With four wins on the bounce for the Robins, it is safe to say that the next few games will not be any easier. Amongst the difficult opponents that Sloboden will be facing is league favorites Studenichan.
KF Studenichan was founded in late 2019 by a few local football enthusiasts who sought to bring the sport to the village. The club began its operations as a football school that would compete in the FFM Detska Liga, as a way of teaching local kids about the beautiful game.
As soon as it was founded though, interest in the club began to grow and they attracted local businesses and government into investing in the organization. It didn’t take too long for Studenichan to form its senior side, which would compete in the 4.MFL Kisela Voda.
KF Studenichan enjoy massive support for their size and level, with them having a traveling pack of supporters wherever they go. Their home matches attract crowds of around 100 supporters who fill the hill around Hurdha.
Studenichan are currently in 2nd place as of the writing of this article, but with 2 games in hand, they’re expected to overtake Tekstilec so long as they don’t slip up.
The Lions had already made it clear with their new recruits that they would be the favorites. Amongst the new faces that joined were former Macedonian international Muzafer Ejupi and BVK’s Fati Jusufi. Alongside them, Manager Bujamin Asani decided to come back to football whilst continuing his managerial duties.
Of the three, Fati Jusufi has proved to be the most clinical. His 15 goals this campaign make him the league’s top goalscorer. Muzafer Ejupi trails him by 5 goals, but his influence on the team is unquestionable.
Other notable names in their team are former Albarsa forward Sabri Aliu, midfielders Omer Shabani and Burim Kasami, and former Shkendija defender Sedat Berisha.
The first game between the two sides ended 1-0 in Studenichan’s favor with Sloboden coming very close to scoring on a couple of occasions. Redjep Bislim will be hoping to rectify the missed opportunities as will the other players who took part in the loss. If the first encounter is anything to go by, we’re in for a nail-biting 90 minutes where the opening goal will likely decide the winner.
It’s well worth noting that Sloboden are yet to score against Studenichan, and Gjorgji Malov’s absence will be dearly missed as he immediately became the team’s highest scorer after bagging 9 goals in the opening four games. As most Robins are aware, Malov got sent off for unsportsmanlike behavior just before the end of the first half in the derby against Slavija, and it will be up to Manager Filip Jakjimoski to find a way to replace the prolific striker.
One thing is for sure though, and that is that this game will be a spectacle. All eyes will be on both sides to see if Sloboden can continue their winning streak, or if Studenichan can continue their impressive form in Hurdha alive.
