5-star display by Sloboden to beat Zelenikovo

After thumping SSK Mladinec 5-0 in Dolno Lisiche, the Robins makes it two out of two wins in the second half season after they handily dispatched of Zelenikovo by 5-1 in Gorno Lisiche.

The match began perfectly for Sloboden as Stefan Georgiev would see himself slip past the Zelenikovo defense to score in only the first few minutes of the match. What followed afterwards was multiple chances from the Robins as chance after chance would see us get close to a second. Eventually Sloboden would get their second as Gjorgji Malov would slot it past the keeper to take it to 2-0. The first half would see a lot of arguing between the two sets of players, as Zelenikovo’s players would act tough in an attempt to disgruntle our boys.

Eventually the half would end, with Sloboden hoping to capitalize more on Zelenikovo’s sloppy build up play in the second half.

The second half would begin the same way as the first half would end, with Sloboden producing most of the chances across the game. As time went on, Zelenikovo would get into a groove and get some chances of their own. This would eventually lead to them getting a penalty after a “no nonsense” tackle from Stojanche Kolev. In all fairness, Kolev had gone for the ball, but the fact he went in with two feet would see him get a yellow for the trouble. Boban Avramoski would go the right way but the penalty was too far for him to catch and Zelenikovo we back in it.

This however proved to be a false dawn for the Greens, as Sloboden would go right back to dominating possession and the chances, among which was a close miss from Nikola Minovski. Eventually a third would come for Sloboden through Gjorgji Malov, and then two more from Viktor Vesov and Andrej Najdovski with Zelenikovo seemingly giving up by the end.

Full time finally came with the score 5-1, a phenomenal performance by the Robins who dominated the game throughout.

Man of the match, once again, goes to Gjorgji Malov. Today’s match marks his third brace in a row, extending to the friendly tournament when we played against Junior.
